You have multiple options for viewing:

1) Watch the complete presentation as a .PDF file by clicking on the blue button.

2) If you have Apple Keynote and want to watch with all the transition effects, send me an email, and I'll send you a link to my cloud to view it.

3) If you are a coin club and want to use this as your presentation, email me at I'll send you a .pdf version, a PowerPoint export, or access to the Keynote version; in most cases, I can telephone in to your meeting if you wish. Or travel for local shows.

Numismatic stories and slide presentations

"A NIAGARA BRIDGE? Researching a Common Bridge Separating Two Peoples" is a 25-minute Keynote (Apple) slide show of how I do research -- the topic is a bridge vignette on a banknote. Was that one bridge? 12 bridges? More?

If you have ever made assumptions and had them go bad, you should enjoy watching my confusion -- as well as my astonishing conclusion!

The characters were so interesting to me that it spawned four other slideshows found under the SERENDIPITY Tab:

  • Gilbert McMicken
  • Edward Serrell
  • Francis Benjamin Hall
  • Charles Holbrook Beard

All of these are research in progress, but there are already some neat stories to tell about their lives. Hall will be done first, the others during 2016.
