Numismatic stories and slide presentations

“ASHER B. DURAND’S HUDSON RIVER SCHOOL PAINTINGS.”  (10 minutes) This presentation has nothing to do with numismatics, but everything to do with a full artistic appreciations of one of the most important banknote engravers in American History. Durand mastered three very different artistic fields, and after all, he is better known to the art world as the founder/father of the Hudson River School of oils. But it is important to consider his prolific output of oil paintings to put his championing of classicism through his vignettes into perspective.
